Marc was born in East Devon and lived in this area for many years with a spell living on the outskirts of Perth, Western Australia. After an education in both the UK and Australia he went on to enjoy a highly successful career in Local Government managing a range of Children's Service Teams.

Marc read for a bachelor of science in criminology and completed a post graduate award in law. He is a chartered manager and a fellow of the Chartered Management Institute. 

Marc is now a volunteer Police Chaplain with Devon & Cornwall Police offering support and care to Police Officers and Staff and is training with South West Ministry Training Course for ordination as an associate priest with the Church of England working in the FiveAlive Mission Community
